My work with Atelier Manola involved directing and photographing two distinct visual stories to showcase the versatility of their sustainable collections.
The first showcased their core activewear in a tennis-inspired shoot. I had scouted a handball court in Queens while hiking nearby. The early-morning sun here created a cinematic feel, glowing off the model’s skin and casting hard shadows against the court walls. This direct, high-contrast light was perfect for activewear as it chisels the model's form and highlights the fabric's texture, adding a sense of dynamic, focused energy to the story.
In contrast, the second look depicted their 'Campus' sweatshirts as candid street style on the Upper East Side. The light here was deliberately softer, filtered by the city's buildings and trees. This diffused light created a natural, everyday feel, wrapping the model in a relaxed New York environment.
Together, the two looks tell a complete story of the brand's range—moving seamlessly from workouts to leisure.
